What a shambles this place is
What a shambles this place is. Firstly I ordered shoes which arrived damaged. Secondly, I have to travel miles to return as they use a courier with hardly any drop-off points. Thirdly I am still waiting for an exchange and fourth it is now 12.23 and the offices are closed with no way of contact. Even the website contact does not work. AVOID !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't order from this company!
Don't order from this company!! Wish I had read the reviews before. You place an order for a pair of shoes and they ask for so much personal information which isnt relevant, photo ID, utility bill, etc....
Tried emailing them to get a refund so I can order the shoes from elsewhere as I'm desperate for them for an event and they just keep sending me the same email to send them personal documents !

How refreshing Rubbersole were to deal…
How refreshing Rubbersole were to deal with. I ordered 5 pairs of sandals of which only 1 pair fit. The only pair that fit had very slight damage for which I was offered a full refund or a generous discount, I opted for the discount! The discounted amount and the cost of the delivery was in my bank account the next day. I sent back the 4 pairs that did not fit via the free returns and my refund was in my bank account within 4 working days. So nice to have a telephone number where you can speak with someone and not have to deal with the BOTS or emails that most other companies force you to deal with when contacting customer service, this made the return experience so much nicer. It was a pleasure doing business with Rubbersole and I will certainly be spending my money with them again. I read some terrible reviews beforehand....but my experience was fantastic. Thank you Rubbersole, like I mentioned earlier...their service is really refreshing.
Absolutely terrible checkout experience…
Absolutely terrible checkout experience on their website. If you have an error on your form, it's impossible to view it and my order was declined 3 times using the card payment, I finally tried using PayPal and it worked. Won't be ordering again.
AVOID!!!
Now I see that my experience is common, unfortunately. I wish I had checked Trustpilot first.
I recently bought something on rubbersole.co.uk, for which I have received a confirmation email. The order was due to be delivered between a Wednesday and a Friday. Since I haven't heard more from them, on the first day I was supposed to receive my shoes, I asked if they could provide a tracking link, for which I got a response saying that my order was actually blocked for verification! But I had already received a confirmation email!!! I was asked to supply sensitive information (proof of address, the card with which I've made the purchase) and it's the first time I was asked for something like this. This order was really urgent and the timeline that had been promised could not be met anymore. For this reason, I had to cancel my order.
What annoys me deeply is that if I hadn't chase Rubbersole asking for a tracking link, I would have never heard from them! My order would have been blocked forever probably.
Really terrible customer experience... I'd like to know if this is even legal...

Avoid - got nothing and uncontactable
Paid for next day delivery, but not received, delivery company says it hasn't received the shoes from Rubbersole 24 hrs after they claim to have dispatched. Tried to call but at 11:30 am the phone went to an automated reply saying it was outside working hours. Tried chat - got an auto-response that promises a reply in the next 4 days.. To be avoided - I should have done my homework before placing an order.
The ordering process
When ordering there was: no option to check in as a guest,I had to do the whole creating an account; the address details were very clunky, living in London I would not normally write down the name of the borough in my address; and finally I find it intrusive to be asked my sex and age when all I'm doing is making an order!
Also you advertise free delivery but you are charging me £4.99 for a 4-day delivery. This is very confusing and misleading??

Next Day Delivery Service is a lie
Ordered shoes and selected next day delivery via Evri. Tracking was provided along the way but Evri did not deliver the shoes for an additional 24hours, meaning the additional cost incurred for what is advertised as guaranteed next day is false. I appreciate this is an issue with the courier but Rubbersole have yet to respond to me in regards to seeking a refund for a cost that was not fulfilled. There is no email address on their website and their socials appear unmanned.
Willing to increase my rating of this company if they demonstrate they have a responsive customer care team.

Really dodgy
Really dodgy
Asked for some really sensitive ID to order some shoes - photo ID, utility bill. My partner has e-mailed them back to say no, we don't want to send that so please can we have our money back (considering they said they can't take it until the account is "verified" with this identification, the money has gone from the account) and today, rather than sending him a reply, they've just sent the same request for ID again! This is ridiculous - I don't care where your warehouse is, nobody should have to hand over photo ID to buy a pair of shoes. Please give us our money back!

Avoid- far too much sensitive information.
Ordered a few pairs of shoes yesterday, paid, and confirmed the payment with my card holder. Was a bit confused as to why it insists on having your full D.O.B (apparnelty to send you birthday offers but why not just day/month?) The small print suggests they may need to ask for further details. However, it does not tell you what the further details are. They require you to send:
-a photo of your card to prove you have it including your name and expiry date.
-a photo of your passport or driving licence.
-a photo of a utility bill.
The exact type of information someone could use to commit fraud in your name. Surely nobody would send this amount of private information. Reading other reviews they state they are based in England and France and this is common place in France. However, I'm pretty sure it goes against the GDPR rules for the UK? If my bank asked for all this information i would be dubious, but all I wanted was some shoes!
I've asked for my money to be released back to me so I can reorder from somewhere that doesn't make me worry its a scam but am still waiting...
Personally, I would avoid these like the plague.
ADDED: they have just responded saying that it says in their terms and conditions that this may happen, it doesn't. It mentioned that they may need more information, not that they will ask for enough for the tindler swindler to take advantage of you...

Poor mistake made but rectified promptly
I recently made an order for a pair of women's Havaianas. Upon opening the box, I was shocked to find that the flip flops had obviously been worn, this was along with the metal logo being broken. It is evident that these had been returned by a previous customer.
It is beggar's belief that these flip flops were returned by a customer because of a fault, clearly put back on the shelf for re-sale and then sold to a new customer... that being, me.
I am registered disabled and so rely fully on online shopping. I have also been unable to find a contact email address.

Increased star rating from 1 to a 4.
I received an email apologising for the error that was made. I was given a full refund on the faulty pair & a partial refund on the 2nd pair.
It was evident that it was a completely genuine mistake and the monies were transferred back to me in good time.

5 star service highly recommend
So pleased with the service, I placed another order straight away. Order received earlier than stated and I paid a good price for both orders. Saw some other reviews complaining about delivery charges and I checked beforehand on their website to be clear on this. It is very clearly stated GB orders are free, which one of mine was and orders from the French warehouse are £4.99. So be aware of that when you order, rather than complain after when all the information is there to see. The item I ordered first was still a better price even with this delivery charge. Constant communication and updates on order from start to finish. Will definitely check this website whenever I’m looking for my next purchase.
ID & credit card copies requested
They have e-mailed me requesting a copy of ID/a utility bill and a photo of my credit card - no way, I have told them to cancel the order. I think they are up to no good. How can so many people fall in the random 2% of those whose ID is checked? Am not sure it's even legal to ask for this kind of personal information.
